Phase one focused on leveling the backyard by building a barnstone retaining wall. This created a flat space and laid the groundwork for a future patio featuring a hot tub, fire pit, and chaise lounge area extending from the existing patio. A hidden challenge arose when a leaking gas line was discovered beneath the current patio. This was resolved by removing the existing limestone caps, rerouting the gas line within the seat wall, and then replacing the limestone caps, restoring everything to working order. To create a cohesive look, the same limestone caps were used for the fire pit and step treads, tying the new elements into the existing material and giving the impression that it has always been there. The result is a wonderful space for the homeowners to enjoy weekends and entertain guests.
